The South Korean standard pronunciation is based on the dialect as spoken in Seoul, while the North Korean standard pronunciation is based on the dialect as spoken in Pyongyang. The North Korean standard pronunciation sounds stronger and rough, whereas the South Korean standard pronunciation sounds softer and has a very flat intonation.
North Korean Culture Note:
North Korea shares its traditional culture with South Korea, but the two Koreas have developed distinct contemporary forms of culture since the peninsula (조선반도 in the North while 한반도 in the South) was divided in 1945. Historically, while the culture of Korea has been heavily influenced by that of neighboring China, it has nevertheless managed to develop a unique and distinct cultural identity from its larger neighbor.
Arts and literature in North Korea are state-controlled, mostly through the Propaganda and Agitation Department or the Culture and Arts Department of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers Party (KWP; 로동당).

영화감상을 하게되니까니 Inconsideration of our father General, Daedongmun theater has been well renovated, and I cannot express how cool it is to watch a movie in this greatly renovated theater.
Did you recognize that the second North Korean interviewee has the strongest North Korean accent (말씨)? 하게되니까니 is the North Korean dialect variation of 하게되니까.
- As you know, 어버이 장군님 (father General) refers to the North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. The speaker expresses the highest respect using the honorific suffix -님. In addition, we can know that the title shows that the North Korean leader is like a fatherly figure to North Koreans. Note that the late North Korean leader Kim Il-Sung has been called as 어버이 수령님 (father the head of the country).
